Hello,
We have an old 16 bit application named Atex Enterprise. We had this
application working on Windows NT 4. We are trying to replace these older
workstations with Windows XP Workstations, however we are experiencing some
minor but show stopping problems with the application on Windows XP. I do
will try to describe the problem as best as I can.
1) You launch the application and a login window is presented
2) After loggin in the the application spawns several sub applications in
seperate windows. The windows are arranged to give the appearance of a
cohesive application however they are actually seperate applications. In one
of the windows after a few seconds of typing and formatting the application
locks up.
3) If you end task and re-open you are able to do some work for a few
seconds and it locks up again.
4) However (Here comes the wierd part) When the application locks up you can
ctrl+alt+del select log off, then cancel the log off. The window unfreezes
and works fine for the rest of the day until the PC is restarted.
Anyone have insight in 16 bit applications that I can try on this?
Thanks
