I recently reloaded Microsoft Window's 2000 Professional
and Microsoft Office XP Professional (Version 2002)
software on my computer. I have a CTX 15" LCD Monitor.
When I originally loaded my software, I was able to get
256 colors and 1074 x ____ resolution. Now, after
reloading my software, I can only get 16 colors and 800 x
600 resolution. If I try to change the default VGA Save
setting by going through The Control Panel, the Monitor
Icon, Settings, Monitor, etc. (the properties setting is
dimmed so that I cannot change it), my computer
automatically reloads and goes into an "endless loop"
which I only know how to stop by doing a clean install of
the software.
Is there a way that I can get the computer to accept a
different driver, or not to automatically configure the
CTX LCD Monitor to the default VGA Save setting? My
Motherboard is an Amptron K7-825LMU USB 2.0, and my
Microprocessor is an AMD Duron.
Thanks for your help!!!
