Hello All,

I have copied a ton of home movies from my Sony Video camera.. to my
laptop.. through 1394 .... then, in the last week.. I would plug in the 1394
cable.. and the question "what do you want to do" would not pop up.. and when
I launch Movie Maker and say 'capture video from a device' it says it can't
find any devices???

I don't know if there is an exact correlation here.. but, I did install
WinDVD (I have sinced uninstalled it) .... in the last couple of weeks....

any ideas on what might be wrong?

thanks..

It usually means something has failed - If your 1394 Host controllers
and cards are listed as OK in Device Manager then it is your cam
or the firewire interconnect that is knackered - or you have the
settings incorrect.
