Can't enable the 218 bit encryption on my my recent
download of Explorer 6.0. Tried the recommended fix via
MS support but it doesn't work.

Anybody have an ideas???

Lucky,

Thats the fix I have been trying to work with no success.
Of the three files to be renamed and then reloaded, I am
only able to rename two of them. The rsabase.dll will not
allow renaming due to "Windows Currently using the file"
error. Just pulling my hair out!

I am running Windows 95.

Lam,

Well there is no mention of using IE6 with W95. It does state IE5.5 with
W95. That *could* be a problem. I say could because I simply don't know.
Sorry. How about trying to do the re-naming by means of some DOS/Safe Mode?
Again, I am not certain of the way in which to really resolve this, so it is
only a suggestion.

But if you have good "hair roots" you might make a "killing" selling them as
implants for those who are less fortunate. ;-)

Sorry, but that's the best I can offer.

IE6 is not supported on Win95 and probably will not work correctly.

YoKenny,

Kind of what I suspected and mentioned, yet as you could see, I was not
absolutely certain. Thanks for the additional support and clarification.
