127.0.0.1 is the local computer.
At Tools | Internet Options what do you have set for the Home Page?
What is your Windows version?

127.0.0.1 Localhost under normal conditions is your own computer.

Unhide files and folders, right click on start and select explore navigate to
windows and open next open system32,open the + on the drivers folder, next
open the ETC folder with notepad.
This is your hosts file the only thing that should be in there(unless you
yourself added an entry) is
127.0.0.1 localhost

all other entries "may" be some type of hijacker delete them save changes on
exit. If their was other entry's run a malware scanner. Here is a list of
several,try Ad-Aware,Spybot AND CWShredder first.

Sometimes, when you remove malware it will stop your TCP/IP
stack from working (Internet connection).
Winsock or LSP-fix will correct the problem,Download first.
Note to anyone using NOD32 Anti-Virus software,Do Not delete the
"imon.dll" this fix reports,That is your e/mail scanning engine.
