I seen that on t.v it was on tech t.v. Screen Saver show it was today and
tomorrow people donate them to the show so they could do it

Hi PuppyKatt, Jo -- Sounds like you are annoyed because you want
freedom from spam and unsolicited advertising, which Sagittaria's post
might have looked like. However, I clicked on the link
(http://kevinrose.typepad.com/), and in fact TechTV is doing a
giveaway of 1000 GMail invites this weekend (donated by readers).
Sagittaria wanted to contribute this good news to the acf community.
Let's be grateful!

Sorry Sagittaria. I guess I was getting upset because some posters were
complaining about too many gmail requests and offers. It was
frustrating to see many more after I offered to volunteer my time, as
did many others (I have 15 + people offering invites), so as to not clog
up this and another newsgroup with these postings. Jonathan has emailed
me at my gmail addy and explained the tv show, after I had already
agreed with Jo.

It was. No wonder that IPO did so well. But now it's pretty much panned
out, everyone on the planet who wants one has at least one gmail
account.
