100 percent cpu memory

i curently have mcafee virus scanner on my computer. It useus 90-100 percent of my memory. Also my Svchost.exe uses 5-10 percent of my cpu memory.

When i disable my virus scanner, my mcafee memory usage drops down to about 10-15 percent but then my svchost.exe uses 60-90 percent of my cpu memory.

whats going on here?

a previous posts suggests updating your mcafee virus scanner.
