When I try to run word 2000 in office XP without Outlook running, it consumes 100% of my CPU. I have tried Detect and Repair with no change. What should I do next

Thanks

Mike

As it should. 100% of your CPU is always used for *something* -- mostly for
system idle, or shared between the programs running. If a program is doing
some work and there are no other programs sharing the CPU at the time, then
that program gets the CPU's undivided attention.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?bWlrZQ==?=,

I have tried Detect and Repair with no change. What should I do next?Word 2000 with Office XP? As in you have OFfice 2000 installed in parallel with Office XP? Or
did you mistype?

If you haven't changed it, Word is set up as the Outlook email editor; this can cause problems.
If you remove Word as the Outlook Email editor, close Outlook, then try to start Word do you see
anything different?
