Task managers shows that CPU is constantly used 100%, no
applications running. Is this normal?

Computer: Toshiba Satellite A10-203, Celeron 2.2 GHz

OS: Windows XP Home Edition

No, it's not normal. It normally is caused by one of your memory resident
programs (the programs that load at start-up) misbehaving. Not sure how to
cure but I am sure that you have a problem.

In some cases, it is caused by spyware on your system. Try downloading and
running Spybot or Adaware. They are both free and you can find them with a
Google search.

But which application is using most of the CPU? In the task manager,
click the processes tab and you should be able to find at least the name in
the task manager. You might then be able to search the web for
information about that program and find out what it might be.

Good luck,

Thi is not normal. Try restarting the problem process using the Processes
tab of Task Menager.
