Is there any link to microsoft support site that explains the WinXP SP2 10
connection limit?

There is a 10 limit connection on all but the XP PRO. I switched to the XP
Pro and have 20 users on it with no problem.

Incorrect.
You may have 20 computers that may access it randomly - but you get 10
connections at a given time.

Hi Fabio,
The limitation of how many computers can connect at the same time is:
10 connections for XP pro
5 Connections for Windows XP Home

It will be best if you explain what you mean by the limitation and what your
objectives are or you want to achieve. Also what Network environment,
Hardware and Software involved in the settings!.

Also best if you send to these NG:

Geez, how lazy. Do your own search. It's at:

http://support.microsoft.com

You obviously already knew about the support site so why didn't you
use it? A search there on "10 connection limit windows xp" showed a
related article as the first match.

Well Thank You for clearing me up. I guess I just have not noticed any
delays in any of the workstations like I did when I had the other XP in the
server. Before I installed the XP pro there was times when I could not even
connect from some workstations. Will read up more before my tongue gets in
high gear while my brain is still in low.

It is an impediment to running BitTorrent which is designed to connect with
tens of peers at the same time. For this reason some BT clients limit to
eight the number of connections when running on Windows. I used to get these
security errors when downloading .torrents until I read the documentation
but I have never installed the workaround.

Hello, I printed out the article referenced above and read it and now I get
the distinction. I am running a standalone computer with dial-up connection
so I don't think it affects me. Thanks for the website reference again, I
have bookmarked it.
