I have one NIC on my laptop and 2 different ISP's, one at
home and one at work. I can't get Windows to retain the
tcp/ip information. I have to keep re-entering the
information either at home or work. Can anyone please
help me?

If they both use DHCP this should not be a problem. If one uses DHCP and
the other static IP addressing this shouldn't be a problem if you use the
Alternate Settings feature under TCP/IP. If both use static IP addresses
then this is a problem. You would need a third party program like
NetSwitcher.

What you stated does not make sense to me.
In Internet Protocal (TCP/IP) Properties
Obtain an IP address automatically
Obtain DNS server address automatically
you should just be able to plug in at work and
then plug in at home, if they are both always
on connections.

What I meant is select

Use the following ip address
and TYPE it in. Dont let XP
obtain one automatically.

(If you're networked with other PC's)

As it'll generate RANDOM
ip addresses, everytime u boot up
XP. And PC's WONT see each other.

You SHOULD, BUT it doesnt
always work does it.
