Laurie

I have a two part question...one is personal and one is
for work.

1. Outlook 2000. I was on the T's from manually inputting
my 500+ list of names from a Word file into Outlook...and
my laptop crashed. I can no longer get into any
applications...but I CAN "see" my files (and therefore, I
can copy them from my laptop to my desktop computer).
What would the file be called? I'm new to Outlook (former
Lotus cc:Mail YUCK) and didn't know about
archieving...so, I didn't set it up (unless it does it
automatically).

2. Outlook 2000. I'm working at a company of 5
workstations, all connected via a LAN, but no email
(hopefully I can change that), and little sharing of
files via the LAN. My Outlook has MANY contacts. Everyone
else would like a copy of my Address book...but I don't
know where to get it from (same as question above) but I
also don't want to overwrite the few addresses that
everyone else has when I Import my address book into
theirs. Is there a way of copying them into someone's
address book, and either NOT or overwriting the
duplicates?

THANK YOU!

L

The file you need your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

PST files cannot be shared . They can only be acessed by one Outlook
installation at a time.
