Some great memories of a couple of those games in the CLASP section :D

The "wayback machine" feature on the main page of archive.org is fascinating, I use it every so often to see what sites looked like :)

Nice find Abarbarian, some of the audio books look interesting :thumb:

Its pot luck as to whether you like the reader for the human voice read books and some of the computer read books are terrible . Still its a good way to listen to loads of freebies .

Yes, I've just been experimenting with a Sherlock Holmes download. It is a little strange to hear it being read in a female, American accented voice, (mainly because radio versions here are generally in clipped, "I'm British-don't-you-know" tones ;) ) But I'm not complaining, heck it was free :thumb: and it's entertaining.

I have also just found a book that I really loved many years ago but haven't been able to find (probably because it's out of print, I should think.) So just downloading that now. Good practice for when I get my MP3 player...:thumb: Thank you again :D

Whats the book Taffycat ?

:)

It's a comedy called "Helen's Babies" by John Habberton (it was also made into a film of the same name.) Our English teacher read it aloud to our class of young teens and I just remember that we all thought it a very funny story, so it will be interesting to hear it again, just to see whether it still has the same effect :D

Oh and on doing a quick check to see whether it might still be in print, it turned up in Amazon, for the unbelievable price of.......£74.99  (but temporarily out of stock) making that free download the best value ever

grateful dead - i thought i was the only one into that kind of sound here... lol
