Hello,
I'm getting the following error after I clone my fileserver's data
storage drive (not the system drive).

"Directory Services could not start because of the following error: The
system cannot find the file specified. Error status: 0xc000000f
Please click okay to shutdown and reboot into DS Restore mode,
Check the Event Log for more detailed information."

The software I used was PowerQuest Drive Image 7. The data transfer went
great, no problems. But when I place the 120 gig drive (replacing a 40gb
with the 120) I get this error.

I'm not 100% certain about putting this into the AD restore mode, what
should I do to get this thing to boot up with this new storage drive in
place. We're running out of storage rather quickly.

The System is a Win2000 Server, it is a domain controller, not running
IIS, ISA & Web Proxy or any other services. I have a seperate box for
that.

TIA!

Investigating this now. What i need to have done is to clone the
contents of the smaller hd onto the big hd and retaining permissions.
There has got to be a way to accomplish this task without having to
manually rebuild all permissions........
