w2k adv server
all the latest patches and service packs

started doing this 2 weeks ago, downgraded to ie5, but too many things
require ie6 these days. nothing in the knowledge base, it starts in safe
mode and launches IE fine. tried logging in as administrator to see if
something corrupt in the user profile and also tried stopping all non
essential services. nothing work!!!! Knowledgebase offers no help that
seems appropriate.

Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and press <Enter>.
In the left column navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM]
and highlight it. Right click it and select Export, giving it a name you can
remember. Then right click it again and select Delete.

Start-Run-Regedit
Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM
Ensure the highlight is on the key in the left-hand pane.
Export it for safety (if you wish).
Right click and select Delete.
