Seems after updates from MS I am no longer able to get updates via there
website I get the above error code OS windows 2003 server all updates
applied to the server

Thank you for your quick answer I have already parsed the news groups and
applied this to my server with no postive results I have regserv all of the
dlls in the post you talk about and I have reinstalled windows update I have
tweaked all permissions and added all update sites to safe list in IE still I
get the error it trys to load the update site sits there for a few seconds
then errors out This started after the last round of upates from MS where
applied to the server is there any particular update in that round that would
effect IE if so would you know the Q number I may try and unistall it and see
if that helps .. THanks !!!

FIXED ! REMOVE BAD UPDATE ITS BROKEN KB896688 remove this from your servers
and all will be well !!!!!
