Hey,

I get this error when trying to update:

Unable to update: 0x80248008

Its managed software, worked fine on another computer but not on this pc.
I've manually reinstalled it as well to no avail.

Tried deleting the update file.. again to no avail...

Could this have anything to do with WSUS? Does windows defender get the defs
from website or WSUS? This computer is new on the network, although group
policy has been forcefully refreshed a few times.

Yes, Windows Defender gets updates from WSUS, or from Windows Update if you
can reach that.

The WSUS admin must choose to publish the new class of definitions,
available since January 16:
