I am unable to access windows update. I tried to follow the directions to
correct the problem but when I press the start menu it does not give me run
as an option to choose. I have also not been able to restore my comuter to
an earlier date. I have windows XP and have not had these problems before.

You need to post to a MS.Public.Windows.XP NG. This is a .NET
programmer's NG,
