Why does outlook "jam up" and time out...I am consistently
receiveing this error message...0x800CCC0B...

How can I prevent this from happening? One site says to
uncheck "server requires authentication." Will this work?
Do I want to do this. Please advise...

What version of Outlook do you have, and what sort of mail account(s)?
 
Are you running a Anti Virus program to check incoming and outgoing mails?
if so click on your anti virus program and disable the part for above.
Norton anti virus gave me quite a headache until I twigged the problem.
