When I try to find how many updates are needed on the
Microsoft Windows Update page I get an error: 0x800A01AD
Does anyone have a possible solution, I have already done
the following below without any success.
1. Check C:\WINNT\system32\scrrun.dll is present: If not,
reinstall it as appropriate for your operating system.
2. Re-register the scripting runtime engine: Run regsvr32
C:\WINNT\system32\scrrun.dll.
3. Check the scripting runtime engine is available to
Everyone:
Run regedt32
Select the key Scripting.Dictionary in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
Use the Securityermissions menu, and make sure Everyone
has Read permissions on this key.
