I'm trying to install Vista RC1, I have downloaded the iso file and
burned a DVD. I'm installing using Windows XP (C partition, 148GB from a
raid 2*78GB WD). The installation goes well until the first reboot. Then I
get the following message:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop
error screen, restart your computer. If the screen appears again, follow
these steps: check for viruseson your computer. Remove any newly installed
hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it
is properly configured and terminated. Run chdksk /F to check for hard drive
corruption, and then restart your computer.

I have run a virus scan - no viruses found, I have run chkdsk and no
problems found, I have not installed any new hard drives or hard drive
controllers, and since Windows XP runs, I'm sure the hard drive is properly
configured and terminated (what ever that means).

I have try to luanch in safe mode, debug mode... in any case i got the blue
screen with the same error. Also, when i launch the debug mode, the problem
accurs right after the loading of the disk.sys file.

I have a ATHLON 4000+, A8N32 SLI DELUXE and 2*78GB Western Digital Disk
drives in RAID.

I think the problem is coming from the RAID : is there any solution to
install Vista on a RAID ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
