Hi All,
I did an extensive Google search but I did not find any helpful information.
So here it is:
I have installed a SW on my Windows 2000 professional (SP3 if I am not
mistaking). After installation I get a strange behavior. If I log into the
system while it is on the network I get a blue screen with STOP: 0x00000000
and everything else being also zero. This is after boot, after a loads of
thing did run (automagic updates etc - a logon script). If I remove the LAN
cable before booting and do not plug it back until I have got my desktop it
does not crash.
I do not need to mention that this sucks. There is no 0 bug code described
by Microsoft and I have no idea what to do now. I would need to find out
what crashes and why.
I have removed the application (by hand, killing it out from the registry
because the uninstaller did not do really anything). It did not help. I
have installed a newer version (according to the helpdesk it should help) -
it did not work either.
And I suspect it might not even be the application... since the computer
already did misbehave the exact same way few days back when there were
network problems. But then again I have been told that there are
20something people having that app and having the same problem.
I would need some help or pointer to pinpoint what really crashes. Bootlog
does not help: boot was done well before the crash (it crashes after the
logon script but before ClearCase would report mounted VOBs).
I have been given the
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/TechNet/prodtechn
ol/windows2000serv/reskit/serverop/part4/sopch16.asp URL but that contains
nothing what could help me.
Help!
