The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018, better known as E3, kicks off this week in Los Angeles. Game studio Bethesda hosted their own showcase last night in advance of the official kick-off tomorrow, giving the audience more details about already teased games plus a tantalising first look at new upcoming titles.

Rage 2
After Andrew WK tried (and largely failed) to inject some much needed energy into the lack-lustre crowd, we learned a little more about Rage 2. You play as Walker, the last ranger of the wasteland, and the trailer showed a better, longer look at the gameplay:
The Elder Scrolls: Legends
The free-to-play strategy based digital card game will be relaunching this year, and will be made available on consoles - namely the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Players will be able to transfer their progress from mobile or PC platforms to console.
The Elder Scrolls Online
New DLC was announced which will be released in the second half of 2018. The first is Wolfhunter, which is a dungeon-based DLC themed around Tamriel's werewolves. The second is called Murkmire, which takes you into the home of the Argonians with a new area to explore and new story to play.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades
Sticking with The Elder Scrolls, later in the presentation Todd Howard announced a new mobile game – The Elder Scrolls: Blades. It is a first person RPG "pure Elder Scrolls game", which features both handcrafted and procedurally generated dungeons, plus a whole world to explore. There are several modes – Abyss is an endless dungeon, Arena is a one-on-one battle, and the main game mode is called Town. The game will be available on variety of platforms including mobile and VR, and all platforms will be interconnected. The game itself will be free, and available to download in Autumn 2018 (although you can pre-order via Apple or Android). In addition, if you want to get early access then you need to pre-register.
Doom Eternal
The teaser quite literally showed hell on Earth. This new sequel to Doom will be debuted at Quakecon in August, so watch this space.
Quake Champions
Part of the popular Quake series, this new FPS game is currently only available via early access. However, this week a free trial will be made available to everyone, and if you download the game then you can carry on playing it even after the trial closes.
Prey
It has been one year since the launch of Prey, and at the E3 event a new free update was announced as a way to say thank you to fans. The update will feature three new modes - story mode, new game plus, and survival mode.
There will also be a new DLC called Mooncrash, where you have to escape from the Moon. They describe the new content as 'infinitely replayable' because every play through is unique.
Later this year there will also be a new mode called Typhon Hunter. This will be a multiplayer 5 v 1 mode where you play as mimics to take on a human.
It was also revealed that there will be a virtual reality option for Prey Typhon Hunter (competitive mode and single player mode).
Wolfenstein
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be made available on the Nintendo Switch on 29th June 2018.
In addition, we learned that there will be a standalone follow up to Wolfenstein II called 'Wolfenstein: Youngblood', which is set in the 1980s and features BJ's twin daughters. It will be a co-op experience, and is coming in 2019.
There will also be a new virtual reality game called 'Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot', in which you play as a hacker who can take over Nazi war-machines and turn them against their masters.

Last but by no means least, Bethesda also showed us the first glimpse of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI. Starfield is Bethesda's first new franchise in 25 years, and has been a long time coming.
