Windows XP Microsoft Error reporting Chicken and the Egg situation

I am carefully re-installing all my essential software from scratch and already getting the Microsoft Error Reporting popping up.
Whether I choose the Send or Dont Send option this seems to frequently freeze me up. CTRL/ALT/DEL does not work. I wonder what comes first the error which I could possible close myself or the error report which may be causing the freezing up.
Microsoft must have enough data on XP SP2 now
Shall I turn off the error reporting or not what do you think guys. ?
 
A slightly late reply but anyhoo...Just turn off Error Reporting, it's pointless, period.

*I wonder where all these error reports actually goto? Bet Billy Boys inbox is full! lol!*
