Been getting a few time outs again, but all over the net, not just here ... press "Try Again" and the site pops right up.
I found this ...
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/linux-newbie/63087-firefox-connection-time-out.html
Basically it says to check if IPV6 is disabled in Firefox.
Type "about:config" in the address bar, then "ipv6" in the filterbar and set "disable ipv6" from false to true. Just double-click the whole line ... now it could be that everything is back to normal and all is spiffing on the Internet, but I haven't had any time-outs so far.
oh, and it works for Windows too.
