Windows Vista Error Message on clicking links

I am a bit puzzled by this. When I receive an e-mail, there are occasions when I click on a link within it, when an error message will appear (please see snip) telling me that the page cannot be found, but even before I can finish reading it, the browser opens and the correct webpage will load. When I close the browser, there is the little message lurking behind.

It only happens in Vista. I am using FF as my default browser (it is completely up-to-date). So just wondered if any of you might know the reason for the error message please :)

Ah, I see what you mean by the :eek: I should have made it clear that I don't just click any old links in any old e-mails, that would be unwise :nod: I meant links in mail from trusted sources :thumb:

You have "cracked" it though Mucks ... yes, it was Vista's way of telling me that it doesn't quite approve of FF being my default browser :p ... fair enough, but I'm still not letting it have all its own way :D

I'm knowing that I'm going to regret it in the morning ;) I've actually been trying to get to bed for the past couple of hours, but keep getting distracted by things on here - browsing and such :lol: but finally off now, so nighty night :wave:
 
yep your doing what I get caught doing...naughty isn't it..all this early morning surfing..oh well Nighty night then...:wave:
